Description: The ureters are tubular structures, 5-8mm dia., that connect the pelvis of the kidneys superoposteriorly,  to the bladder in the pelvis antero-inferiorly.  They cross the pelvic brim over the external iliac vessels, and proceed inferiorly beneath the uterine vessels.
