Description: The sacrum is a solid bone formed from the five fused sacral vertebrae with an intervening vertebral disc. One ilium on each side, articulates with the sacrum with a pseudo-synovial joint. The sacrum curves anteriorly near its tapered lower tip, where it articulates with coccyx.
